What Happened?
Oracle (ORCL) got a boost today after Oppenheimer raised its price target from $210 to $235, while keeping its Outperform rating intact. The firm also reiterated Oracle as its top pick.
- The upgrade came after Oppenheimer reviewed spending data from Oracle’s biggest customers, partners, and suppliers. What they saw indicated strong demand for technology infrastructure heading into Oracle’s next earnings report on June 16.
- There was another factor in play, too. Oracle announced a restructuring on March 31 that affected roughly 30,000 employees — about 18% of the workforce. Oppenheimer views this as a positive signal for margins and medium-term financial targets.
On the revenue side, the firm expects Oracle’s Q4 to benefit from big-ticket commitments. OpenAI, Meta, Nvidia, and federal government contracts are all expected to drive growth in bookings.
On top of that, Microsoft is reportedly outsourcing some of its lower-margin AI training workloads to Oracle — a meaningful win that adds recurring revenue.

Oracle’s own Q3 results were already strong.
- The company reported 20% organic revenue growth, its best performance in over 15 years.
- AI infrastructure revenue grew 243% year over year.
- The company’s remaining performance obligations — essentially contracted future revenue — stood at $553 billion.

What the Market Is Telling Us About Oracle Stock
Oracle stock is riding one of the clearest tailwinds in enterprise tech right now: AI infrastructure spending. The company has locked in long-term contracts with some of the biggest names in AI, and its cloud database business is growing fast across Microsoft, Google, and Amazon’s platforms.
That said, Oracle stock does trade at a premium. Investors will want to watch the June 16 earnings call closely to see whether bookings and margins justify the multiple.

With Wedbush also holding an Outperform rating at $225, the analyst community is broadly aligned. Oracle stock looks like one to watch heading into its next earnings release.
