What Happened?

Robinhood (HOOD) stock got a boost today after Jefferies initiated coverage with a Buy rating and an $88 price target. That implies roughly 33% upside from current levels.

Jefferies argued that Robinhood is one of the best-positioned companies to benefit from the $100 trillion generational wealth transfer already underway.

The firm pointed to Robinhood’s growing product suite, rising revenue diversity, and its strong grip on next-generation investors as key reasons for the bullish call.

The numbers back up the story.

  • Funded customers hit 27.4 million in February 2026, up 7% year-over-year.
  • Total platform assets reached $314 billion, a 68% jump in a single year.
  • Revenue grew 52% over the last twelve months, with a gross profit margin of 92%.
  • Net deposits in February came in at $5.6 billion, right in line with the 12-month average.

One standout from the Q4 earnings call was Prediction Markets, which went from nearly zero revenue a year ago to 14% of Q4 trading revenues.

CEO Vlad Tenev described it as the fastest-growing business in Robinhood’s history, with over $12 billion in contracts traded in 2025 alone.

Robinhood stock has had a rough stretch recently, falling 51% over the past six months.

But it’s still up 50% in the last 12 months, and Jefferies sees the current pullback as an attractive entry point at 26 times its 2027 earnings estimate.
