What Happened?
Pinterest (PINS) has fallen in the session after four of its last five earnings reports, even though it beat revenue estimates in four of those five quarters. The next test comes Thursday, October 29, when Pinterest reports third-quarter results after the close, three days after James Dibbo became CFO.
The Stock Has Followed the Guide
TIKR data shows adjusted EPS missed in three of the four reports that drew a drop. The fourth, August 2026, beat on revenue by 2.73% and on adjusted EPS by 20.37%, yet still showed a GAAP loss of $0.08 a share, and shares fell 8.68%.
The next-quarter revenue guide lines up more closely with the stock:
- November 2025: the guide landed below consensus, and shares fell 21.76%.
- February 2026: the guide landed below consensus, and shares fell 16.83%.
- May 2026: the Q2 guide came in about 2% above consensus at the midpoint, according to Jefferies, and shares rose 6.86%.
- August 2026: the Q3 guide of $1.19 billion to $1.21 billion only matched the $1.20 billion LSEG consensus, and shares fell 8.68%.
As of October 26, TIKR’s consensus sits just above both Q3 midpoints, at around $1.2 billion in revenue and around $348 million in adjusted EBITDA. A result at the low end of either range would miss.

Ready Tied the CFO Search to Ads Beyond Pinterest
At the Goldman Sachs Communacopia + Technology Conference on September 9, CEO Bill Ready was asked what he wanted in a new CFO. Much of his answer covered running more products in more countries, but he also pointed to TV: “we have now proven out that we can monetize our audience beyond just one surface. We did the acquisition of tvScientific.”
Pinterest closed that purchase of a connected TV ad platform on February 17, 2026. Ready said adding Pinterest’s audience to its TV campaigns produced “a more than 60% lift in purchases,” a company-reported figure. He added that Pinterest has “more direct knowledge of user commercial intent probably than any other platforms aside from Google or Amazon.”
Dibbo last ran finance at Amazon (AMZN) for businesses including Amazon Ads, Prime Video and Twitch. Read against Ready’s answer, the hire fits that ambition. TV is still a bet: Pinterest’s 10-Q says tvScientific had no material impact on its financial statements, and Julia Donnelly remains principal financial officer through October 30, the day after the report.

TIKR Advanced Model Analysis
- Current Price: $22.32
- Target Price (Mid): ~$47
- Potential Total Return: ~112%
- Annualized IRR: ~20% / year

The TIKR model’s mid case puts Pinterest at around $47 by December 31, 2030, or about 20% a year over 4.2 years. Its inputs, which span a 2025 to 2035 forecast window, assume around 9% annual revenue growth and a net margin near 31%.
That is a multi-year scenario. The Street’s 12-month targets average $29.08 and top out at $42.36, with ratings at 18 Buy, 2 Outperform, and 19 Hold.
Reaching the model’s target leans on Performance+, the AI ad suite Ready said had reached 30% of lower-funnel revenue, and on selling Pinterest’s audience beyond its app. The nearer risk is GAAP profit: analysts expect Q3 GAAP EPS of around $0.09, down about 30% from a year earlier, while revenue grows about 15%. Upside comes if TV ads become a disclosed driver. Downside is another guide that only meets consensus.
A Q4 Guide Above $1.52 Billion Is the Line
Analysts expect fourth-quarter revenue of around $1.52 billion, about 15% growth. If Pinterest gives a Q4 range, as it did after last year’s third quarter, a midpoint above that figure would match May, the one report the stock rose after. A midpoint that only meets it would repeat August.
