Veeva Stock Rides a Falcon Bet That’s Barely Left the Runway

Veeva Systems (VEEV) closed its fiscal 2027 second quarter, ended July 31, 2026, with revenue of $927.96 million, a number that beat the Street’s $905.26 million estimate by 2.51 percent and jumped 17.60 percent from the $789.08 million booked a year earlier. Non-GAAP operating income landed at $415.88 million, ahead of the Street’s $394.81 million call and up nearly 18 percent year over year. Adjusted earnings per share of $2.35 topped the $2.22 estimate by 5.77 percent, while GAAP EPS of $1.66 beat by 6.62 percent and climbed 39.50 percent from last year’s $1.19. Every headline metric cleared its target, and margins moved with them: EBITDA margin hit 46.43 percent, 194 basis points above Street modeling and 98 basis points higher than a year ago.

That kind of print alone would carry a quarter. But Veeva’s stock story right now is less about what already happened and more about what CEO Peter Gassner is building next. Falcon is Veeva’s new agentic labor product, a category the company has never sold before: instead of licensing software, Falcon performs the work itself inside functions like safety, clinical, and regulatory. Gassner described the demand on Veeva’s Q2 earnings call: “If we had our early adopters live and successful right now, I don’t want to be hyperbole, but Falcon would be flying off the shelf if that was the case.” Five early adopters are onboarding now, including one top 20 pharmaceutical company, with the first live deployments targeted for later this year.

Gassner is candid about why the rollout is slow: Falcon’s underlying technology is newer than Veeva’s core applications, and the company still has to prove its implementation motion at scale. What he isn’t hedging is the buyer relationship. Falcon sells to the same business unit heads Veeva has worked with for a decade, not IT, which he called an easier sales cycle than Veeva’s typical CRM deal.

The Commercial segment backed that confidence with results. Subscription revenue there grew roughly 13 percent year over year, and CFO Brian Van Wagener noted the growth held in double digits even excluding the Crossix advertising measurement business. Vault CRM added Biogen and Regeneron this quarter, pushing top 20 commitments to 12 of 20, with the remaining two expected to resolve by year end.

TIKR Values Veeva Stock at $419, Pricing In Falcon’s Early Payoff

TIKR’s mid-case model values Veeva Systems at $419 by January 2031, implying a 71 percent total return from the current price of $245, or 13 percent annualized over 4.4 years.

That annualized rate sits well ahead of what most mature software names offer investors today, a gap that reflects how much of Veeva’s growth story TIKR’s model still treats as unrealized rather than priced in.

The target assumes Veeva keeps compounding subscription revenue through both its established Commercial and R&D Cloud franchises and its earlier-stage bets, Falcon chief among them, without needing either to carry the thesis alone.

Given a quarter where Commercial subscriptions grew double digits even stripped of Crossix and CRM win backs kept stacking up against Salesforce, the model’s mid-case path looks grounded in trends already visible in the numbers rather than in a story still waiting to show up.
