What Happened?

GoDaddy Inc. stock jumped 6% on Friday to close near $93, reviving interest in a company whose shares remain about 45% below their 52-week high. The central debate is whether GoDaddy can turn its AI products, expanding free cash flow, and share repurchases into durable per-share growth while its core revenue expands at a moderate pace. Friday’s gain followed three consecutive declining sessions and recovered most of the stock’s earlier losses during the week.

The stock rose mainly as shares rebounded from the week’s selloff ahead of GoDaddy’s July 30 earnings report, rather than in response to one clearly identified company announcement. Recent product news gave investors another reason to revisit the growth story, including the GoDaddy Developer Platform, which allows developers, coding assistants, and AI agents to search, register, configure, and manage domains through automated workflows. This could place GoDaddy’s domain infrastructure inside more third-party applications, but the upcoming results will provide a clearer test of whether new products are increasing customer spending. GoDaddy confirmed that it will release its second-quarter results after the market closes on July 30.

At Evercore’s June technology conference, GoDaddy CFO Mark McCaffrey said Airo AI Builder has been profitable since launch, while the broader Airo platform is helping customers attach a second product 30% faster than before. Q1 free cash flow per share increased 27%, and management remained confident in its $1.8 billion full-year free cash flow target, with McCaffrey saying GoDaddy is “on target for that 33%” normalized EBITDA margin. Faster attachment matters because customers who add websites, commerce tools, payments, or marketing services generate more recurring revenue and tend to remain with GoDaddy longer.

GoDaddy competes most directly with Wix and Squarespace for small businesses seeking domains, websites, online stores, and digital marketing tools in one place. Wix reported first-quarter revenue of $541 million, up 14%, while bookings increased 15% to $585 million, compared with GoDaddy’s modeled annual revenue growth of around 6%. GoDaddy’s advantage is its base of more than 20 million customers and its ability to use a domain purchase as the starting point for selling higher-value services, but stronger Airo adoption and spending per customer remain important through the rest of 2026.

Is GoDaddy Stock Undervalued?

Under a more conservative valuation scenario, GoDaddy stock is modeled using:

  • Revenue Growth (CAGR): Around 6%
  • Operating Margins: Around 26%
  • Exit P/E Multiple: Around 9x

The revenue-growth assumption requires steady customer spending and stronger product attachment rather than a sharp rebound in domain registrations.

Airo could support better results by helping entrepreneurs establish an online presence faster, add more products earlier, and move into higher-priced plans, allowing revenue per customer to rise even if customer growth remains modest.

The free cash flow chart strengthens that thesis, with consensus estimates showing annual free cash flow increasing from around $1.8 billion in 2026 to around $2.6 billion by 2030 as the free cash flow margin approaches 41%.

The operating-margin assumption depends on GoDaddy preserving AI-driven efficiencies while continuing to invest in product development, while the roughly 9x exit P/E remains conservative compared with its five-year historical multiple of around 19x.

Based on a current price near $93, the model’s target of around $112 implies approximately 21% upside over the next 2.4 years, or an annualized return of around 11%, suggesting GoDaddy appears moderately undervalued if Airo adoption, product attachment, renewal pricing, and share repurchases keep free cash flow per share growing faster than revenue.
