What Happened?
The Coca-Cola Company (KO) touched an intraday 52-week high of $94.10 on October 15, 2026, then closed at $92.00, up 0.24%. That leaves the stock up 31.6% since the end of 2025. Analysts did not raise their forecasts to match. The consensus FY2026 revenue estimate fell from about $50.6 billion to about $49.8 billion over the same period. The company’s investor relations materials set the next test: third-quarter results on October 27, before the open.
Coca-Cola’s Revenue Forecast Fell While Its Multiple Rose 5 Points
Part of the lower forecast is structural. In February, Coca-Cola guided to an approximate 4% revenue headwind from acquisitions and divestitures, tied mainly to the pending sale of its African bottler. The rally came from valuation instead. Coca-Cola’s NTM P/E ratio rose from around 22x to around 27x, accounting for most of the 31.6% gain.
Investors are paying for earnings growth peers lack. Coca-Cola targets 9% to 10% comparable EPS growth for 2026, or 7% to 8% excluding currency and divestitures. On October 8, PepsiCo (PEP) cut its own core constant-currency EPS outlook to 1% to 2%. PepsiCo trades at around 15x NTM earnings and Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP) at around 14x.
The Street mean target of around $95 sits about 3% above the price. Citi lifted its target to $102 from $100 on October 14, according to TipRanks. Of 25 analysts, 12 rate the stock Buy, 7 Outperform, 4 Hold, 1 No Opinion, and 1 Underperform. Separately, Semafor reported on October 8 that Coca-Cola is again exploring a Costa Coffee sale, a reported process rather than a deal.

Braun’s Runway: Three-Quarters of Developing-Market Drinks Aren’t Commercial Beverages
CEO Henrique Braun laid out the long-term case at Barclays’ Global Consumer Conference on September 9. In developed markets, he said, 75% of what consumers drink is a paid beverage. In developing markets, where most of the population lives, “only 25% of the daily drink intakes are paid for the commercial beverage.”
Distribution has room too. Braun said Coca-Cola serves 33 million outlets and has digital platforms for a little over two-thirds of them: “So we still have about 1/3 to go.”
Braun was also candid about pace. A new brand “would take at least 10 years to become a $1 billion brand,” he said, and on the sales payoff from digital tools, “It’s difficult for us to quantify now.” A 27x multiple prices in some of that slow-building growth today.

This uses the mid case, which assumes Coca-Cola keeps executing without another jump in valuation. The TIKR model projects around $107 by December 31, 2030, a ~17% price gain or ~4% a year. Its mid-case inputs assume around 3% annual revenue growth from volume and pricing, plus a net margin near 31%. The return counts price only, so the NTM dividend yield of around 2.4% adds to it. The primary risk is the multiple, which could fall if growth slows toward the low case’s ~2.7%. The upside needs the high case’s ~3.3% growth and a richer margin.
Conclusion
The number to watch is the 9% to 10% EPS growth target. Holding or raising it after PepsiCo’s October 8 cut would support the premium. A trim would likely pressure a stock trading about 3% below its Street mean. Analysts expect around $0.88 in adjusted EPS for the quarter. Q4 then carries six fewer days than last year, plus the effect of the Africa sale if it closes as planned. Consensus Q4 revenue is down around 6% year over year.
