What Happened?
UBS just raised its price target on Apple stock from $280 to $287. The firm kept its Neutral rating, so this isn’t a ringing endorsement — but it does signal growing confidence ahead of Apple’s upcoming earnings report.
The upgrade came after UBS ran supply chain checks and reviewed sell-through data.
The conclusion? iPhone demand looks slightly better than expected. Mac products like the Neo and Mac mini are also tracking well, though UBS says its estimates already account for that strength.

On Services, UBS isn’t expecting a big beat. The firm sees roughly 14% revenue growth in the segment, with payments holding up but App Store growth coming in softer.
That balance keeps the Services outlook roughly in line — not a negative, just not a catalyst.

What the Market Is Telling Us About Apple Stock
Apple stock heads into earnings with some solid tailwinds.
- Earlier this quarter, Apple reported its best-ever quarter — $143.8 billion in revenue, up 16% year-over-year.
- iPhone revenue alone hit $85.3 billion, up 23%.
- EPS came in at an all-time record of $2.84.
- For the upcoming March quarter, UBS expects Apple stock to post revenue slightly above its $109 billion estimate, with iPhone slightly ahead of the $56.2 billion forecast. EPS is expected to come in a few cents above $1.94.
Other firms remain broadly positive too.
- Bernstein and Evercore ISI both hold Outperform ratings.
- TD Cowen has a Buy with a 15% revenue growth forecast for the quarter.
That said, there are a few things to watch. Apple stock trades at 33.8 times earnings, which UBS flags as elevated relative to fair value. Supply constraints on advanced chip nodes could also cap upside for iPhone shipments.
One other note — Apple is dealing with a labor dispute at its Towson, Maryland store, where workers allege the company is blocking unionized employees from transferring. It’s not a financial issue yet, but worth watching.

For long-term investors, Apple stock continues to benefit from a massive installed base of 2.5 billion active devices, strong Services momentum, and a dominant iPhone cycle.
