What Happened?
Lemonade (LMND) stock fell 11.9% on Feb. 23 and closed at $50.51. The move followed a volatile stretch after the company released Q4 and full-year 2025 results. The stock has also traded with a high beta of 2.05, so swings can be sharp.
On Feb. 19, Lemonade reported Q4 revenue of about $228 million, which topped the $215.8 million estimate cited by Reuters. Revenue was also up 53% year over year, according to Reuters. Even so, the stock saw outsized moves around the release.
Lemonade also released its Q4 and full-year 2025 materials on its investor site and hosted a results call. Those disclosures put fresh numbers in focus, but they also reset expectations. Markets often reprice growth stocks quickly after updates.
Separately, Lemonade drew attention in January with a Tesla-focused insurance announcement. Reuters reported Lemonade planned to offer a 50% rate cut for Tesla drivers when Full Self-Driving is steering. That headline boosted visibility, but it also added to near-term trading intensity.

Wall Street still has a higher view of fair value than today’s price. The Street’s mean target is $65.56, versus a $50.51 close. That implies about 29.8% upside from here.
Targets also remain wide, which reflects uncertainty. The high target is $98, while the low target is $33. There are 9 analysts in the current target set.
The target-to-price gap widened because the stock pulled back. It also widened because targets moved up into early 2026. The mean target rose from $31.86 at 12/31/24 to $65.56 by 2/23/26.
Ratings look mixed, not euphoric. Recent tallies show more Holds than Buys, plus some Underperforms and Sells. That split suggests the Street sees upside, but also real risk.
What the Market Is Telling Us About LMND Stock
Lemonade is still growing fast, and that is the core bull case. TIKR shows forward 2-year revenue CAGR of 45.8%. That pace stands out in insurance, but it also raises the bar.
Margins are improving from earlier years, but profitability is still negative. Lemonade’s LTM gross margin is 53.0%, while LTM EBIT margin is -21.8%. That gap keeps focus on underwriting and operating discipline.
Cash flow has also been a sticking point. TIKR shows levered free cash flow of about -$180 million LTM. Free cash flow margin is -3.5%, so progress matters.
The balance sheet looks less stressed than many unprofitable peers. TIKR shows net debt is negative, at about -$239 million. That cash position can support growth, but it does not remove execution risk.
