What Happened?

CoreWeave (CRWV) stock is getting a vote of confidence from Freedom Capital Markets, which reiterated its Buy rating and $151 price target after meeting with the company’s investor relations team.

Analyst Paul Meeks says CoreWeave’s profit margins are set to climb sharply through the rest of 2026, and that improvement could change how investors think about the stock.

According to the bank’s numbers, adjusted operating margins are expected to grow from 1% in Q1 and 5% in Q2 to 7% in Q3 and 15% in Q4.

Adjusted EBITDA margins are projected to rise from 56% up to 69% by year-end. Meeks wrote that if the company gets even close to those numbers, investors will start appreciating CoreWeave’s earnings power and cash flow generation.

This bullish take comes after a rough stretch for CoreWeave stock. A recent $2.6 billion financing deal rattled investors and pressured shares.

The delayed-draw term loan carries a roughly five-year maturity, longer than the average three-year length of the customer contracts backing it. It also came with an interest rate between 8.2% and 9.2%, higher than many expected.

Combined with a broader sell-off in AI infrastructure names during July, that financing news hit sentiment hard.

But Meeks argues the market may be missing the bigger picture.

He points out that shorter-term contracts are now pricing and repricing at much higher rates, which makes them more profitable even with CoreWeave’s higher borrowing costs. That lines up with what the company itself has said about the deal.

CoreWeave has explained that this financing structure lets it fund shorter-duration customer agreements, which typically carry better margins, while also growing its enterprise customer base.

The company also noted that lenders’ willingness to back shorter contracts signals confidence in long-term AI infrastructure demand.

What the Market Is Telling Us About CoreWeave Stock

The reaction to CoreWeave stock shows just how divided investors are on how to weigh growth against debt right now.

Some are focused on the higher borrowing costs and longer loan maturity. Others, like Meeks, are more interested in whether the company can keep repricing contracts at levels high enough to offset those costs.

For now, Freedom Capital Markets is betting the margin story will win out. If CoreWeave really does hit that 15% operating margin target in Q4, along with EBITDA margins near 69%, it would mark a meaningful shift in how profitable the business has become in a short period of time.

That’s a big part of why CoreWeave stock is back in focus this week.

The bigger picture here is simple.

The same financing deal that initially spooked investors could be viewed differently if margins keep climbing the way Freedom Capital Markets expects.

That would turn a source of near-term anxiety into a longer-term profit story for CoreWeave stock.
