What Happened?

Amprius Technologies (AMPX) stock jumped 8.4% on the day of the results after the company posted strong Q2 numbers.

Revenue came in at $34.0 million, more than double the reported revenue of $15.1 million in the same quarter last year.

The net loss also narrowed to $5.1 million, down from $6.4 million reported a year ago. Basic loss per share improved to $0.035 from $0.052.

Two big deals helped drive the growth. A $24 million order from a European drone manufacturer contributed meaningfully to the quarter, and a new multi-year agreement with electric motorcycle maker Stark Future is expected to bring in more than $100 million through 2029.

On this momentum, management raised full-year 2026 revenue guidance to at least $130 million and said it’s now targeting a full-year net loss below $10 million.

Trailing 12-month revenue also tells a strong story, climbing to $109.2 million from $44.8 million a year earlier.

That’s a sign the growth isn’t just a one-quarter blip, but part of a longer build-up in demand for the company’s high-energy-density batteries used in drones and electric vehicles.

What the Market Is Telling Us About Amprius Technologies Stock

A rally on the day of quarterly results shows investors are encouraged that Amprius Technologies stock is turning real orders into real revenue, not just promises.

The bull case here is straightforward: if defense drone demand and mobility deals keep scaling at this pace, the path toward profitability starts looking more realistic. Narrowing losses alongside revenue growth is exactly the kind of trend investors want to see from a young, high-growth company.

That said, the market isn’t ignoring the risks.

A large chunk of this quarter’s revenue leaned on that single $24 million European order, which keeps customer concentration concerns alive for Amprius Technologies stock.

The company is still losing money, even if the losses are shrinking, and there’s no clear timeline yet for positive operating cash flow.

Add in a volatile three-month stretch before today’s jump, along with unresolved questions around supplier relationships, and it’s clear why some investors remain cautious even as the headline numbers improve.

AMPX Stock Street Target (TIKR)

For now, the market’s reaction suggests the good news is winning out.

But with Amprius Technologies stock still priced as a high-growth, high-risk bet, execution over the next few quarters will matter just as much as today’s beat.
