What Happened?
Meta Platforms (NASDAQ: META) is taking its Muse AI agent into the business world.
On Tuesday, the company launched Muse for Small Business. The agent connects to popular work tools from Asana, Zoom, Intuit, Box, Canva, and Slack. It can also link to Meta ad accounts and professional Facebook and Instagram pages.
The idea is simple. A business owner gives Muse a goal, like finding new customers, and the agent does the work. Meta said small businesses told it they’re “short on hours, not ideas.”
Meta didn’t share pricing. The current Muse app is free with usage limits, and users can pay for a subscription to get more.
This news came one day after Meta announced a new enterprise platform. It hired MongoDB CEO CJ Desai to run it.
The platform will include a Muse agent, a business agent, and a coding tool.

The timing stands out, too.
OpenAI held its developer day on the same day. It’s a clear sign that Meta wants to compete with OpenAI and Anthropic for business customers.

What the Market Is Telling Us About Meta Stock
Meta stock had a huge September, climbing 25%.
Much of that rally followed the Sept. 8 launch of Muse, which shot to the top of Apple’s App Store and passed ChatGPT. Evercore’s Mark Mahaney expects Muse to hit 100 million users within six to 12 months.
Still, Meta stock has pulled back over the past two trading days, including around 5% drop in the latest session. After such a fast run, some caution isn’t surprising.
The business behind the push looks strong. About 200 million small businesses are already on Facebook.
In Q2, Meta’s revenue grew 28% to $60.8 billion. More than 1 million businesses already use its business agents each week.

The main risk is spending.
Meta expects 2026 capital expenditures of $130 billion to $145 billion, while Q2 free cash flow was only $784 million. Investors in Meta stock will want to see these AI tools turn into real revenue.
Meta is turning Muse into a tool that businesses can pay for, not just a consumer app.
