Box Stock’s Climb Back to $34 Reflects an AI-Fueled Enterprise Push

BOX Stock Price: Year to Date (TIKR)

Box, Inc. (BOX) stock has climbed 16.5% this year, a 28.8% annualized pace that has carried shares from a spring low near $22 back to $34 by August 10. The round trip traces almost entirely to enterprise demand for Box’s AI tools, not one single headline event.

Box’s push centers on Enterprise Advanced, its top-tier subscription plan bundling AI extraction, automation, and agent access. CFO Dylan Smith laid out the mix shift at the Bank of America technology conference on June 3: “Last year, we exited from a standing start with Enterprise Advanced customers making up about 10% of our total revenue. We expect them this year with that number at about 20%. And then 3 to 5 years out for that to be a full 50% or more of our revenue.” That’s a business model quietly rewiring itself while the stock price was still underwater.

That mix shift has real dollars behind it. Box’s total revenue reached $1.18 billion in fiscal 2026, up from $1.09 billion the prior year. A 10%-to-20% swing in Enterprise Advanced’s share works out to roughly $109 million growing toward $236 million, more than doubling within a business that itself grew only $90 million over the same stretch.

The demand shows up in Box’s customer wins, too. Renewable energy manager Quintas Energy picked Box’s Enterprise Advanced platform in late July to automate document classification across its asset portfolio, the kind of deal Box’s AI unit pricing was built to capture.

Insiders have kept selling into the climb regardless. COO Olivia Nottebohm’s Rule 10b5-1 sales this summer priced progressively higher, from $26.17 in June to $32.31 on August 7, while CFO Smith sold shares at $26 and $29.05 over the same stretch. Routine, scheduled, and still a reminder that supply has followed the stock up every step of the way.

Box stock’s rebound has now outrun what the people who cover it were willing to pay for it just months ago.

Box Stock’s Rally Has Pushed It Past the Street’s Mean Target

Eight analysts currently cover Box stock, split 3 buys, 1 outperform, 4 holds, and 2 underperforms. Their mean target sits at $33, about 2% below the current $34 price, a gap that didn’t exist for most of the past year.

The mean target has essentially stood still through the entire round trip: $37 in July 2025, $32 near April’s low, $33 today. It’s the stock, not the analysts, that has done the moving. In April, with Box stock near $24, the mean target sat 33% above the price. That premium has now flipped: Box stock trades roughly 2% above the Street’s own mean target, the first time in this stretch the target has lagged the price instead of leading it.

TIKR Values Box Stock at $45, Pricing In Sustained AI Growth

TIKR’s mid-case model values Box stock at $45 by January 2031, implying 33% total return from the current price of $34, or 7% annualized over roughly 4.5 years.

That 7% annualized case is a more conservative read than the Street’s own history of double-digit upside calls on this name, and it comes at a moment when the sell side has stopped leading the price rather than chasing it.

The model’s case leans on the same math Dylan Smith laid out: Enterprise Advanced revenue climbing from roughly 20% of total revenue this year toward 50% or more within 3 to 5 years. With the Street’s mean target already trailing the price and ratings split closer to neutral than bullish, TIKR’s model is effectively underwriting a growth story analysts haven’t fully priced in yet.

TIKR’s model puts Box stock’s target at $45, a 33% total return case. Pull up BOX on TIKR for free
